Has anybody tried running SLIP over a dialup line using a
split speed (9600 / 300 baud) modem such as the US Robotics HST9600 ?

How well can this be expected to work compared with
full duplex 9600 baud (both directions) modems or with
half duplex 9600 baud modems ?
