It's one area where it's nearly impossible to find a vendor who provides what you need. Unfortunately needs are very often a customized affair, and security bugs often an outright emergency. It's can also be a moving target, something no one thought of yesterday suddenly, after one irate phone call, becomes first priority. Software "maintenance" is utterly the wrong concept for this sort of situation. -Barry Shein, Boston University
