"TCP/IP is a series of protocols that the Department of Defense created ...") Andrew Tanenbaum's "Computer Networks" barely references it, and Mischa Schwartz's "Telecommunication Networks/ Protocols, Modeling and Analysis" has maybe 5 pages on the subject.
