It would certainly be a wonderful step over what we have. What we (applications types, and systems administrators) need is the ability to have one .EXE file for, say, telnet which will execute on "all" our PC's. Right now we can do this, but at the expense of restricting our PC's to all run one vendor's TCP. So, if your proposal will allow us to do this, hurray! We can, I suppose, address the performance issues with some follow-on work. A BOF at the TCP/IP conference sounds good.
