Sorry to say, but most of the wear on ordinary tracks is around
the curves.  The SP tracks that CalTrain runs on (from San Jose
to San Francisco) have some worn spots - in the curves.  It
makes me oh, say 5 minutes late in the morning and 15 minutes
late at night.
