   Has anyone ever written, or can anyone point me to a unix program capable
of reading IBM VM/CMS format tapes?  I have managed to decipher and actually
extract a file or two, but it is a painful process.  Perhaps there exists a
machine-readable description of the tape format?  Thanks.
