What you say is:

Overscan Work Screens:

Here's an alternative:

	Do what MacPaint does, and allow the user to grab and drag the
	overscan screen around. Then you can support MORE than overscan
	(for printing only, of course). How about a paint program that
	allows the use of full 8.5" by 11" paintings at the resolution
	of the printer?
