   I have noticed that when the serial.device is opened
   on my 2000 (Rev. 4.2) the cooling fan whine seems to rise
   in pitch.  Is this something that should concern me?
   (It's not like I could return it to the dealer and expect to
   get a new anytime soon, though.)  I mention this becuase
   an earlier poster indicated problems with recent 2000
   power supplies.
