A day after the first major release a new version with an expanded help screen was added. It says if your drives keep on clicking they are *INCOMPATIBLE* and you should stop using noKLICKstart. Sorry! The other possibility with that initial release is that your disk was write protected and the change never actually happended. Seems I was looking at the return code for the motor off rather than the write... |\ /| . Ack!
