OK - in the meantime perhaps you could forward a question for me; 
I have a 5 1/4" external drive running through a latch circuit like
the one in AC, or as variously distributed on the networks. I have 
recently upgraded to a 2000. The 5 1/4" drive works fine on the 2000
as an Amiga device, but refuses to run the PC utilities. PCcopy acts
like the PC disk is empty; PCFormat fails with a error -4! message.
The drive still works fine in both modes on my old 1000. My question
is whether any one else has had this problem, an d if one of the 
West Chester Wizards could shed some light on the differences in the
1000/2000 disk support circuits that might explain this problem.
