HOWEVER, I would not, no--NEVER-- pay money for a "beta draft" of anything. Let those walking the thin line between being there and plain stupidity pay for beta drafts. You can wait for the real thing, or check out Gary Little's book "Exploring The Apple IIGS" or a new book from Compute! called "Mastering The Apple IIGS Toolbox." Both would serve as a better investment than paying money for something that's incomplete.
