We use devps to convert troff output to PostScript for printing on either a LaserWriter or Linotronic and it allows you to include PostScript generated elsewhere into the output. We teach classes (as well as sell devps :-) ) and I use our Atari and Publishing Partner to create graphics for the class manuals and then include them in the troff'ed body text.
