This thing might seem funny or strange or whatever *(#&~%&*#|~%(|&%~ to
ASCII-ppl: Our network account mode is determined 99.9% by some computers
painted blue on the outside.
As a *periphery* we have only ASCII machines, running UNIX, TOS and MS-DOS.
Two problems arise out of this:
First we cannot (or do not know how to) reach net.sources or the like.
Second, there is a strange interchange of characters when we download UU files.
++++++++++++ QUESTION:
Are there any ppl on this list which can help me out of that? I surely would
appreciate some hint from s.o. who's net account is also managed via a
non-ASCII coded machine !!!
