Xref: utgpu unix-pc.general:9 comp.sys.att:1462 comp.unix.wizards:5001 Does anyone know why the UNIX PC (AT&T 3B1) have only 12 window devices (ie. w1-w12)? Is there a physical contraint on what the window manager can handle? Can I just do a "mknod" and make a few new windows (ie. w13-w20) so that I don't get "Cannot create new window, close unecessary windows." I have a couple of processes (daemons) that take up windows for the status lines, and it reduces my window-power! Does anyone have any suggestions?! -Lenny -- Lenny Tropiano ...seismo!uunet!godfre!quincy!lenny -or- American LP Systems, Inc. ...cmcl2!phri!gor!helm!quincy!lenny -or- 1777-18 Veterans Memorial Hwy. ...mtune!quincy!lenny -or Islandia, New York 11722 +1 516-582-5525 ...ihnp4!icus!quincy!lenny
