(It already has upgraded ROM & power supply, 1.25M of RAM, serial/parallel ports, and two floppies.) I've been planning on a Plus HardCard 40. The problem is this: I have only one open slot, intended for the hard disk. If I put it there, however, I apparently have no way to do backups except floppies. :-( Might there be a way to replace my B drive with a hard disk or backup system that won't require _two_ slots: one for the disk, and one for the backup? A recent discovery in a mailed advertisement: an Irwin half-height tape backup to replace the B drive: it supposedly plugs into the existing floppy controller and doesn't need another slot. Will this work on the Compaq? Or should I forget the whole thing and get a Bernoulli box? (Can you boot from a Bernoulli box???) Any advice would be most welcome.
