The 14" color monitor that is sold with the PS/2 line is an analog display.
If you want EGA you should buy and EGA compatible monitor.  If you have the
money NECs Multi-Sync is an excellent choice as you can pick and choose 
amoung various adapter cards.  This is true of some other monitors, but
the NEC is the only one I have used.
