Xref: mnetor comp.sys.tandy:587 comp.sys.ibm.pc:10417 My friend has just purchased a generic RS-232C board for his Tandy 1000. He also got a Mitac 1200D modem. After hooking it all up, the modem doesn't seem to want to pick up the phone line. Can anybody help? RS-232 Specs: Address: 3F8-3FF (COM1) Interrupt: IRQ4 (Can a generic PC board work with the 1000? It is a Half-card for XT compatibles.) Modem specs: Bell 103 and 212A Compatible Hayes 'AT' command set Transmit level: -9dBm Sensitivity: -45dBm The TERM READY and HIGH SPEED lights stay on all the time. When commands are given or keys are pressed on the keyboard, the SEND DATA and RECIEVE DATA lights flicker briefly. We are using Procomm V2.4.2 Thanx in advance. ========================================================================= Brian O'Neill University of Lowell CS Dept. boneill@hawk.cs.ulowell.edu
