I sent him this letter, and hope it clears up confusion for any of you out there. Please send your vote in or post it! Thanks... - ERIC - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I read comp.sys.tandy, and it's discussion and make up are fundamentally different from what comp.sys.coco would be. The discussion there centers on the Tandy models 1,3,4 and 1000 series. These computers are in no way compatible or similar to the Color Computer. I have been on many bulletin boards. Whenever there is a "Tandy" board, CoCo owners tend NOT to use it. The minute, however, you put up a Tandy board AND a CoCo board, Color Computer owners jump right in and have a lively discussion. In a way, it's like the old Ataris vs. the Atari ST - different computers, and the discussion and programs for one really have little bearing on the other. That's the way it is with the Color Computer. I have never seen a CoCo related discussion in comp.sys.tandy, and doubt we ever will. Some discussion (technical) is found in comp.sys.m6809, but from talking to many users, they feel that comp.sys.coco would help many users much better. Note that there is a comp.sys.68K forum AND seperate forums for the Mac, Amiga, and Atari ST. A parallel situation should exist between comp.sys.coco and comp.sys.m6809. One centers on the processor and/or operating system, and the other on the computer itself and the uses and software for it. I hope you will consider your vote in light of this new information - I feel, as do many people who have gotten back to me already, that this is a greatly needed forum that will be well used. Thank you. - ERIC - * Another proud CoCo 3 user * ______________ | | BITNET:ewtileni@pucc | ARPA:ewtileni@pucc.Princeton.EDU | ColorVenture | CompuServe: 70346,16 | MCI Mail and/or Delphi: TILENIUS |______________| PHONE :609-734-0092 | UUCP:{allegra,cbosgd,cmcl2}!psuvax1!pucc.BITNET!ewtileni
