I was planning on buying a Dataframe XP-30, but then clouds loomed on the horizon. Rumor has it that the Dataframe is posessed by the devil, and after a few months the evil RLL encoding it uses will turn all my valuable data into chowder. Is this rumor unfounded? Are those evenings of glee I was anticipating on the Mac going to be nights in hell if I go with a Dataframe? What experiences have you had with the competition? I'm considering either a Jasmine 40 or CMS 40 instead of the Dataframe, but that would involve going without food for the next month or two. In short, I want the Dataframe if it has a good chance of being reliable. I don't want to buy a drive that has an inordinate number of problems. If this is a problem drive, I'd value your recommendation for an alternative. Please send your responses to me, or post them if you think others may be interested.
