Carolina, Chapel Hill Lines: 18 I just bought a cute little Mac SE. It came with Microsoft Works which includes a communications module. I can use Works to log in to the VAX 785 on campus (which runs 4.2 bsd UNIX), but can't seem to transfer files. The Works manual doesn't really talk about this. Has anyone been able to transfer files Works to/from UNIX? I have been able to do it by "cat"ing the file on the VAX while selecting Receive Text in Works, but everything turns out double spaced. My backup plan is to use Red Ryder, which transfers files in WORD or MACA format. I can use MACA format to transfer the file to the Mac, then open the file in MacWrite. From there, I believe I can put the file on the clipboard, then include the clipboard in Works. Does Red Ryder have a format that will work with Works? If not, is there an easier way to include a "MacWrite" file in Works? -- Susan Gauch gauchs@unc decvax!mcnc!unc!gauchs
