Message-ID: <6867@ut-ngp.UUCP> Date: Tue, 17-Nov-87 15:56:30 EST Article-I.D.: ut-ngp.6867 Posted: Tue Nov 17 15:56:30 1987 Date-Received: Fri, 20-Nov-87 02:43:32 EST Organization: UTexas Computation Center, Austin, Texas Lines: 20 I'm _trying_ to use Multifinder with just 1 meg. All I want to do is have Word 3.01 and Kermit running at the same time. However, Kermit demands this obscenely high (~384K) memory buffer; whenever I check, the program is using only around a quarter of this buffer, so I don't think this much is needed. With this configuration, I cannot open Word and Kermit at the same time. Question: what to do? Can simpleton users control the memory buffer sizes? Apology: I think this question's been answered before. I admit I'm a total buffoon for asking again, so don't bother calling me one in a flamage. cheers, from charles s. geiger ARPA: cgeiger@ngp.cc.utexas.edu cgeiger@ut-ngp.ARPA UUCP: ihnp4!ut-ngp!cgeiger allegra!ut-ngp!cgeiger gatech!ut-ngp!cgeiger seismo!ut-sally!ut-ngp!cgeiger harvard!ut-sally!ut-ngp!cgeiger
