However, some of them (the baby, bark, "Boom! oooh..." come to mind) play twice as fast as they should. (I have a Mac II. They should play correctly, no?) I have a note in my comp.sys.mac archive about changing the sampling rate in the "snd " resource using ResEdit. I would happily do this, except I can't iopen the sound resources with ResEdit 1.1b3. When I double-click on the resource, nothing happens. I believe this may be because ResEdit cannot handle large resources, and these sound resources are on the order of 30K. Is there any way to fix these sounds so they play at the correct speed? Should I go in with Fedit and change raw bytes? (I think I will do this if there's no simpler way.) Also, why did whoever posted these set the wrong sample rate in the first place??!! Grumble... Also, I installed the sounds in my system with ResEdit, and they failed to work (they just produced a simple "beep" when clicked on). Then I modified Suitcase as suggested in the manual, so the sounds lived in a file on disk. Now, the sounds play properly, even though they are no longer in the system file. Suitcase fixed the problem, somehow. Any ideas? (Also, any news on a MultiFinder-compatible version of Suitcase?)
