I tried to shut down my mac+, but it took a long time and there was no response. The light on the drive stayed solid during that period of time. I lost my patience and pressed the reset button. After then, I couldn't boot from the hard disk. I ran the HD20SC Install and it displayed the message 'Searching SCSI drive'. After a few minutes, it displayed another message '... couldn't find a suitable drive connected to the SCSI port ...'. Later, I booted the system with a floopy disk, with the hard disk on. It asked me to initialize the hard disk. And I did. Now I am using the hard disk and I can boot from it, although not every time. I still got the same message when I tried to run HD20SC Install. I think the 20SC is functioning like a regular, serial hard disk. Does anyone know what happened? What can I do to make it function like a SCSI drive? I will appreciate if someone who knows can send me a reply to the address below. Thanks for your time. Reply to: kwok@uhccux.UUCP
