As for the "disk-swap-tango", there are times when it is obviously very
silly.  Like when you ask to *QUIT* an application and it takes about 6 swaps
for the poor thing to shut itself down.

I don't know ANY of the details as to why it happens, but I think it must be
lousy programming somewhere.
