    We have Wollongong's WIN/VX version 2.3 on our Vax. While it
worked adequately with the Koto TCP/IP, Lyric has produced some
interesting effects.  We can transfer any file to the VAX, but we can
only get very small files back. With larger files, the VAX gets as far
as sending the "file transfer started succesfully" message, but then
doesn't send anything. I have obtained listings of the TCP trace
window, but can't see anything different between the two cases. Any
ideas?
 
   I understand that a new release of WIN/VX (V. 3.1?) is on the way.
Has anybody used this yet with Lyric?
 
  We also have an Apollo Domain on the net running Aegis. It objects
to the syntax of the FTP TYPE command the Xerox sends. Any ideas on
how to inhibit this command being sent?
 
    In case anyone is interested, you can get a listing of a TCP/IP
transaction by calling TCPTRACE and then rebinding TCPTRACEFILE to
(OPENSTREAM file 'BOTH). Don't forget to close the file afterwards!
Incidentally, I have crashed the system (i.e. no mouse, no type-in, no
break) several times while attempting to rebind TCPTRACEFILE back to
the window.
