If you cannot extract the member files there must be a problem with the way it was transferred via FTP or to your micro. The ARC files are stored as BINARY(8) on SIMTEL20 even though this is a 36-bit machine. You must set FTP to the correct binary mode. Don't use IMAGE unless you are on Tops-20 machine. If you use Kermit to transfer to your micro you MUST specify SET FILE BINARY to the mainframe Kermit. --Keith Petersen
