NEC-7710 Old Problem

The NEC-7710 printer like many printers running NROFF will not
print MULTIPLE lines of bold type. The first line prints BOLD but
those that follow print in normal type.

A fix was posted several years ago but I have been unable to trace it.

If anyone has a fix for this problem we would very much appreciate
information.
