The > Diablo 630 is a HyType II printer, I think, so use "nroff -T450". Unfortunately, the -T450 switch does not really work perfectly for the 630. I don't have the manuals with me at the moment, but as I recall there were some minor changes in the 630's command set that screw up 'tbl' and 'eqn'. Also, there are several different flavors of the 630: a basic 630 and a more "intelligent" version. The more intelligent version would have a fully extended HPR05 board that performs a lot of word processing functions --- proportional spacing, underlining, shadow print, etc. We were unable to most of those features until we got our hands on Bruce Townsend's table building programs. Our ps mode still s*cks (thanks to bugs in nroff), but at least we get pretty good tables. -- Russell Lawrence (WP Group POB 306, Metairie, LA 70004) AT&T: +1 504 456 0001 UUCP: !{philabs,hpda,nbires,amdahl,...}!uunet!wpg!russ COMPUSERVE: 72337,3261
