I find it hard to believe that nobody else has done this before, but I am at a loss for documentation on it. Does anybody know of some good literature on measuring UNIX file system fragmentation? I have already read the paper on the BSD fast file system but I need some more extensive documentation. Thank you in advance for your help. -- Bob Brankley Assitant Administrator University of South Florida Engineering Computing Services CSNET: brankley@usf.edu brankley%usfvax1@usf.edu UUCP: {gatech, codas}!usfvax2!brankley {gatech, codas}!usfvax2!usfvax1!brankley
