I am trying to add this interface to our MicroVAX II so we have another tape drive/media besides the TK50 system. I edited the system configuration file to add two lines: controller tm0 at uba0 csr 0172520 vector tmintr tape te0 at tm0 drive 0 and then rebuilt the kernel "by the book". I powered down and added the tape coupler to the card cage in slots near the tail end (before the hard disc controller). In the process of booting, I see the error message: tm0 at uba0 csr 172520 didn't interrupt What major and minor parameters should I use with 'mknod' to establish a 'dev' entry for this new device? Can you think of anything else that is preventing this installation? Donald Ninke {ihnp4,allegra,ut-sally}!ut-ngp!auscso!donaldn Houston Instrument, 8500 Cameron Road, Austin, TX 78753 1-512-835-4733
