On Ultrix 2.0 I am getting the error "Archive Backspace error".
I get this error when I add files to the end of files already
on the tape.  The tape is in tar format. 

           The command I am using is "tar rv FILES".

Ultrix support feel that it may be a hardware problem.  I am
having the hardware checked but I don't think this is the 
problem.  Has anyone seen this problem?
