But what I really want to do is use it as another up/down modifier on mouse buttons -- has anyone modified the Sun server to restore the X10 hack that lets you put the Caps key in up/down mode? It's a big win... Yech, hacking the server is a big lose. Why don't you just use xmodmap to place that key on some other modifier besides Lock (like Mod1)? Then the Sun server will restore it to up/down mode.
