Our group is in a similar bind. We already have an application based on X-Ray (X10). We want to expand it, plus work on some new ones. What strategy should we use? 1 - Use X10 and X-Ray. When X11 and the new tool kit come out, have fun re-writing code. 2 - Use Xlib. It will be more difficult to develop w/o use of a toolkit, but hopefully conversion from X10 to X11 will be mostly changing Xlib function names and re-arranging some parameters. (Is this a valid assessment?) Will there be an kind of conversion aid (translator or whatever) for X10 -> X11 Xlib clients? Thanks for your help, Jeff Schmidt Hewlett-Packard Co.
