The host "softex", which appears in the map file
u.usa.tx.1, has been dead for quite a while.

In fact, its demise as a network site was one of
the things that precipitated (or was coincidental
with) my departure from that site.

I wrote the map entry, I should be able to
remove it, right?  Its gone, I say!
