The advantage is that you don't need a hefty chunk of disc space to hold them. The luggable used to be called the Integral PC, since it has an integrated Thinkjet printer, but I think they renamed it when it was retargetted to the firmware development market. It was a nice machine, at the time, the smallest Unix box available. Now, the AT clones, Atari ST and Amiga outclass it for general purpose computing.
