Message-ID: <892@louie.udel.EDU> Date: 22 Dec 87 19:12:05 GMT Reply-To: garrett@udel.EDU (Joel Garrett) Organization: University of Delaware Lines: 16 Summary: Experiences, anyone? I just got some literature in the mail today talking about a twisted-pair ethernet product by an Isreali company, LANNET Data Communications, LTD. They have one product, the LE-6, which is essentially a L-O-N-G transceiver cable for ethernet, and another product, the LE-8, which is a Multiport Transceiver for use with up to 8 LE-6s. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this equipment, good or bad, which we would be using on a lower-cost equivalent of the IBM cabling system? Any idea of the prices for these things? What we got were two spec sheets from a place called RAD data communications in Rochelle Park, NJ. I'm going to call them for price info, but I just wanted to know what people around here thought of it (besides the usual comments on twisted-pair ethernet in general, please :-) Thanks in advance, Joel Garrett arpa: garrett@udel.edu
