We  had  a  demonstration of Tutor under CMU's Andrew system many
months back.  It seems to have the advantages of BASIC  in  being
an  incremental  compiler,  where you can compile instructions on
the basis of drawing graphs or draw graphs from instructions  you
enter.   I  am  not  sure how it would fit with interactive video
disk -- please contribute the information if you have tried this.

We have been looking for a good authoring environment (used DEC's
Producer and then a product from a small outfit called  DIRECTOR)
and  have  pretty  much despaired of finding one.  We are writing
some of our own tools. 

What level of data dump is appropriate for this newsgroup?
