Message-ID: <3306@ihlpf.ATT.COM> Date: 8 Jan 88 23:23:51 GMT Reply-To: nevin1@ihlpf.UUCP (00704A-Liber,N.) Organization: AT&T Bell Laboratories - Naperville, Illinois Lines: 15 I have a proposal for a extension to C WHICH DOES NOT BREAK EXISTING CODE. I feel that *0 should be equal to 0 (at least for the data types char, short, int, long and 'pointer'). Much of the code that I have seen explicitly checks for a NULL pointer and then performs the same action that would have been performed if the value it pointed to were 0. Comments?? -- _ __ NEVIN J.
