The real tut.uucp (aka. tut.fi) resides in finland at Tampere University Of Technology. It's also Finnish backbone. There are couple sites in states with (local) name 'tut', which get misrouted to finland. Those I know are: tut.cis.ohio-state.edu tut.boulder.colorado.edu I think there are one more behind rutgers.edu. This is what happens (at least I think so): E.g. you try to mail to user@tut.cis.ohio-state.edu. Your mail reaches site, which thinks that it knows all hosts under cis.ohio-state.edu. That site simply strips domain out of address (user@tut.cis.ohio.state.edu --> user@tut). Now this address can mean tut.uucp or tut the localhost and gets routed to finland. Postmasters at cis.ohio-state.edu, boulder.colorado.edu and rutgers.edu have been informed about this problem.
