I just got my copy of MINIX.  I have one minor problem, however.  Since I have
not yet received my copy of the book, I can't login to the system.  This is
very frustrating, here it is Christmas vacation and I can't get into the
system to play around.  Could someone please be kind enough to tell me what
the root password is?

By the way, I am reading a lot of stuff concerning upgrading from V1.1 to V1.2,
how does one go about doing this?

According to the MINIX book, the initial user name and passwd would be:

	login: ast 
	passwd: Wachtwoord

To become a super user, the login is "root" and the passwd is "Geheim".
