This has a certain elegance to it, since many terminals are called TX, and this _is_ a "P"seudo TX after all :-). And in the twisted paths of my brain, it makes lots of sense to call the controlling device for a PX a PY, so voila! I haven't run into conflicts (yet). In the back of one of those wonderful orange binders (?SYSGEN?), there is a list of DEC device names and the devices associated with them. I did not find PX or PY there, so I was reassured.
