Sigh...I can;t find the reference btu DEC has reserved a single letter
for customer device drivers....I recall vaguely that it was Q but it migh
be Z.  The Guide for DEVICE Drivers (or modular command procs or
VMSINStallables) ought to say.  I will check when I have a moment if 
no one beats me to it.
