Unfortunately, it didn't solve the problem Andy Malis thought it would solve. He is about to test (in our own network, since we now have a Sun with an X.25 interface hooked up to it) a new patch that should work. If it does work, it should be out in the ARPANET in the near future. Actually, we're suprised to learn from your message that the patch that went in last week made things that much WORSE for you. I think you and we mis-communicated. You did mention in a message to Andy, "Occasionally, maybe once or twice a day, the X25 manager refuses to make outgoing or accept incoming calls ... This has only occured since the midnight patch of a few days ago." You mentioned that you were referring this problem to Sun, so we took it to be a minor point for us; we didn't take it as a request or a reason to pull the patch. In hindsight, I guess we should have. Instead, we continued to view the patch as "harmless" although not particularly successful in correcting the problem it was supposed to correct. Please accept our apologies in this regard. Ken
