          My success with VAX/VMS Kermit is now totally dependent upon
          USERNEWS support.  My recent compilation informed me that there are
          3 undefined symbols, 'getppid', 'setegid', 'seteuid', all
          referenced in module ckufio.o.  I am again at the mercy of an
          expert who can show me how and where these symbols are referenced.
          Again, many, many thanks to the half dozen people who have
          responded to my requests by sending copies of software and
          directions that I needed to make this project run.
