Also, I would like to redirect output from the screen to the serial port. In short, I would like to be able to call up a remote PC using a modem, and essentially "take over" what it is doing from the serial port. The remote PC will be running a bulletin board that will be using other serial ports -- moreover, the program writes directly to the screen, and uses function keys to execute commands. The "remote access" of the BBS is for system administration. I have heard of a commercial product known as "Carbon Copy" that supposedly performs this task, but I am hesitant to purchase it for several reasons. First, I understand that the software is sufficiently encrypted so that it can only be used from one machine, and that two copies of the product are necessary -- one for each end. Since the costs of each copy are substantial, this would give at best an inconvenient result for a large expenditure of money. Does anyone know of any other products that allow remote access? Thanks in advance, Patrick Barkey k9iu@iuvax.indiana.edu { ... ihnp4!inuxc!iuvax!k9iu }
