I am trying to understand how SMGL and ODA can co-exist. I don't know an awful lot about SGML, but as I see it, SGML is a meta language for describing a markup language. Also, SGML describes the structure of a document. ODA also describes the structure of a document, it also describes much more. How can ODA and SGML co-exist, it seems that there is a lot of overlap between the two standards. I realize that my questions are probably badly phrased, but if I knew what to ask, I wouldn't need to ask it! Is anybody out there using SGML or ODA, heeelllp!
