It has occured to me that it might be useful (and definately attractive) to generate color images on my Amiga, using as input my model output, the equation of state tables, etc. I've got a program which will read in a file of binary ints and display the results dictated by a user-defined color table (many thanks to Butler Hine, who wrote the program), but I do not have a single *nice* color table (the jumps between the colors are too drastic). If anyone has already tackled this problem and can send me some 32-value color tables (or post), I would be more than grateful. Once I generate the images, I plan to grab them from the screen as IFF images. If there's sufficient interest, I'll post the images so you can see an Amiga's view of white dwarf evolution. Thanks much for your help! Matt A. Wood matt@astro.as.utexas.edu
