Doug Leavitt has mentioned the book he co-authored (I haven't run across it yet, but will be looking). There is another one that I know of. It's called: "Amiga Assembly Language Programming" Jake Commander TAB Books ISBN 0-8306-2711-1 $13.95 I got a copy a while back from Abel Supply at a small discount. I was disappointed when I open the box and saw the book was from TAB ... but was pleasantly surprised after leafing thru it (I guess even TAB can do something positive, once in awhile :-) ). Anyway, it covers the 68000 architecture and instruction set in the first third of the book, with the rest covering the Amiga environment, etc. The final example (about 40 pages of code) is a "programmer's calculator" that handles bin/oct/dec/hex, uses windows, gadgets, and so forth. I hope Doug's book has a bit more "depth" to it, but for the price, Jake's book isn't too bad for an intro. Nice to see greater interest in using assembly language starting to blossom ... No, I don't get a kickback from Jake ... don't know him ... and have nothing to do with TAB Books (and wouldn't admit to it if I did)! And I don't do business with Abel anymore. /kim P.S. Those of you who are inclined to flame about assembly language, and programming in it, are invited to send me email. I am really sick and tired of all the flamage here lately, and do NOT want to see YAW [Yet Another War] start up over this issue (again). Thank you!
