Possessing both Pixmate, Butcher 2.0, and just about every other art/paint program known to Amigoid, I've analyzed the sample pics included with DS2.0 (the ballerina, the Sabre, the butterfly) and they're all 640x200x 2 bitplanesx4 color (same as workbench) and they all load up and display correctly with the program. I took an IFF digitized pinup (well, what would YOU rather have on your Workbench... heh heh) and tossed it into Pixmate, converted it to 640x200x2bitplanes, matched its palette to one of the pics supplied with DS2.0, knocked it down to 4 colors, and saved it. Dropshadow doesn't seem to want to display it (although uShow, etc. all show it correctly) although it seems to be loading it, and when I run DS again (as per the docs) to clear it out...whammo! GURU every time. Are these sample pix included with DS full frame? or are they brush files? Any hints or tips as to how to convert a full fram HAM or other type of pic into something Dropshadow will accept and display are more than welcome. Eric, what technique did YOU use to slice those sample pics down to the configuration they are in as included in the Dropshadow 2.0 suite of files?
