If you have an older //e (also known as "unenhanced") some software for the //e either won't run or displays peculiar looking inverse video (you can "enhance" a //e for about $75 the last time I paid any attention; I have not enhanced my //e's and have suffered no real ill effects -- almost all the stuff that really needs the enhancement kit is commercial ). There is Apple public domain available on bitnet (you can subscribe to APPLE2-L at LISTSERV@BROWNVM.bitnet -- write CC004019@BROWNVM.BITNET if you need help). As for public domain software generally; it is available in such large quantities as to be difficult to deal with without help. Your best bet is to ask around your campus for information about a local Apple User group (they can supply you with LOTS of help, answer questions, and provide more public domain software than you are likely going to want to buy diskettes for). --------------------- ARPA: sewall%uconnvm.bitnet@cunyvm.cuny.edu Murphy A.
